Serving is one way we live faithfully into our call as disciples by finding a space to engage in ministry that benefits both the church and the community. First, we encourage each person who attends Melissa UMC to select two to three ministry teams that might interest them. A ministry leader will follow up with you to get you plugged in.

Rotary Flag Volunteer - Assist with putting in and pulling out flags

Provide a meal for Sunday Night meeting

I'm Interested in Children's Ministry

Nursery Volunteer - Hold babies 1-4 times per month

Sunday School Volunteer - Follow curriculum, lead discussion 1-4x per month

Children's Chapel Volunteer - Storyteller, Check In/Out, Games- Preschool, K-2, 3-5 Grades

VBS Volunteer - Decoration, Check in/out, Music Team, Group Guide

VBS Youth Volunteers

Decorate Rooms for Lesson Themes and Special Events (VBS, etc)

Media Team - Sunday morning worship tech support

Chair Set Up Team - Set up and take down of chairs for worship each week

Property Team - Support and light maintance of church property

Special Event Coordinator - Help plan and execute special events at church

Volunteer Coordinator - Love training and recruiting people? This is the job for you!

Congregational Care - Check in on shut ins and those who need support

Missions Team - Help identify and plan mission opportunities in the community

Online Chat - Be an online host for those worshiping online each Sunday 1-4x per month

Sleep in Heavenly Peace - Be part of this mission building beds for children
